What are the first-order requirements of becoming a surrogate with Nascency?
- You live in a surrogate-friendly U.S. state
- You are between the age of 21-43 (over 40 on a case by case basis)
- You have had no more than 3 c-sections
- Your BMI is below 32
- You’ve had at least one previous healthy pregnancy and delivery
- You have no history of major pregnancy complications (e.g., preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, gestational diabetes requiring medication)
- You have no history of major mental health issues
- Your criminal record is clean
- You’re financially stable
- You have a strong support system
- You want to help another family have the child they otherwise couldn’t have without your help!
Will I be related to the child?
As a gestational carrier, there is no biological connection to the child. The intended family creates the embryo, using either their own sperm and egg or opt for a donor sperm or egg. The process ensures that the surrogate is not biologically related to the child, providing clarity and distinction in the familial relationships during the journey.
Is surrogacy safe?
Surrogacy is a well-established process with robust safeguards in place to protect the health and well-being of both the surrogate and the intended parents. We prioritize your safety at Nascency. You'll undergo thorough medical screenings by qualified professionals to ensure you're a good candidate, and you'll have access to independent legal counsel to understand your rights and responsibilities. We also offer referrals to experienced mental health professionals for psychological support throughout your journey. Your health and safety are our top priorities.
Does Nascency provide additional support for surrogates?
In addition to our competitive benefits and compensation package, Nascency provides comprehensive support services, including surrogate coaching, legal consultation, and insurance guidance. This ensures that surrogates are well-equipped to navigate the various scenarios they may encounter throughout their journey. We also have very fun and generous, personalized gifting programs to support you during the big and little moments alike.
