Participant Agreement, Liability Waiver & Media Release

Thank you for joining us!

We’re excited to bring together experienced surrogates, future surrogates, and members of the surrogacy community for an afternoon of food, beach games, conversation, and connection at a beautiful beach resort. We want this event to be a fun, welcoming environment where people can meet others, share experiences, and enjoy time together.

By attending this event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation

I understand that my participation in this event is entirely voluntary. I choose to attend of my own free will and may leave at any time.

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in any social gathering, beach resort event, outdoor activity, recreational game, or related activity involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, injuries, food-related reactions, interactions with other attendees, weather conditions, and other unforeseen risks.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my attendance and participation.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Nascency, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, event partners, venue partners, and affiliates from any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to my attendance or participation in the event, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Health & Personal Responsibility

I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own health, wellbeing, transportation, personal property, and decisions while attending the event.

I understand that Nascency is not providing medical, legal, psychological, financial, or other professional advice during the event.

Alcohol Acknowledgment

I understand that alcoholic beverages may be available at the event. If I choose to consume alcohol, I do so voluntarily and agree to do so responsibly.

I remain solely responsible for my actions, decisions, transportation, and conduct before, during, and after the event.

Photography, Video & Media Release

I understand that photography, video recording, audio recording, interviews, and other media collection may occur throughout the event.

By attending, I grant Nascency and its representatives permission to photograph, film, record, interview, and otherwise capture my likeness, image, voice, statements, and participation.

I understand that these materials may be edited, reproduced, published, displayed, distributed, promoted, or otherwise used by Nascency in any media format now known or later developed.

Such use may include advertising, promotional campaigns, social media content, websites, printed materials, educational materials, public relations efforts, presentations, publications, and other commercial or non-commercial purposes.

I understand that photographs, videos, and other content captured at the event may be shared publicly now or in the future.

I understand that I will not receive compensation for the use of general event photographs, videos, or recordings.

If I participate in a separately arranged interview or storytelling project, additional release terms may apply.

Optional Interviews

Nascency may invite certain attendees to participate in voluntary one-on-one recorded conversations about their surrogacy experiences.

Participation in any interview is completely optional. Attendees selected for interviews may be offered additional compensation, which will be discussed separately. Declining an interview will not affect an attendee’s ability to participate in the event.

Respectful Community Expectations

This event is intended to be a welcoming, supportive, and respectful environment for everyone in attendance.

While attendees may have different experiences, opinions, and perspectives, all participants are expected to treat one another with kindness and respect.

Attendees are also expected to respect the privacy of others. If someone shares a personal experience, story, or detail and indicates that it is private or not intended for broader sharing, attendees agree to honor that request and refrain from disclosing that information outside the event.

Nascency reserves the right to remove any attendee whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, harassing, unlawful, disrespectful of other participants, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit and purpose of the event.

Community Participation

This gathering is intended to foster community, connection, and conversation among surrogates and those interested in learning more about surrogacy.

I represent that I am not currently employed by, contracted with, acting as a consultant for, serving as an owner of, or otherwise affiliated in a professional capacity with any other surrogacy agency, matching program, fertility concierge, intended family consulting business, or other third-party reproduction matching, recruiting, or consulting organization.

I further represent that any guest, partner, spouse, family member, or friend attending with me is not currently employed by, contracted with, acting as a consultant for, serving as an owner of, or otherwise affiliated in a professional capacity with any other surrogacy agency, matching program, fertility concierge, intended family consulting business, or other third-party reproduction matching, recruiting, or consulting organization.

I understand that Nascency may share information about its services, programs, opportunities, community resources, and surrogate opportunities during or after the event.

I agree that neither I nor any guest I bring will engage in recruiting, solicitation, marketing, lead generation, business development, or other commercial activities on behalf of any third party while attending the event.

Nascency reserves the right to deny attendance or remove any attendee or guest who does not satisfy these requirements or whose participation is determined to be inconsistent with the purpose of the event.

Guest Responsibility

If I bring a guest, I understand that my guest must comply with all event rules, expectations, participation requirements, and applicable waivers or releases required by Nascency.

Attendance & Removal

Nascency reserves the right to refuse admission, revoke attendance, or remove any attendee or guest at any time for safety, legal, operational, or community-related reasons.

No Employment or Business Relationship

I understand that attendance at this event does not create any obligation to become a surrogate, apply to a program, participate in an interview, or engage Nascency’s services.

I further understand that attendance at this event does not create an employment, contractor, agency, partnership, joint venture, or other business relationship between myself and Nascency.

General Acknowledgment

I have carefully read this Participant Agreement, Liability Waiver, and Media Release. I understand its contents and voluntarily agree to its terms.

I acknowledge that I am at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

By checking the agreement box and submitting the RSVP form, you provide your electronic acceptance of this agreement, which is recorded together with your registration.
